Production Information and Parental Consent
Please keep reading for all the important information you need for our production this term including show fee purchase and costume size deadline!
Show Fee Explained
This year, we’re introducing a small Show Fee of £6 per dancer to help support the growing costs and preparation that go into creating our annual theatre performance.
This contribution will help cover essential behind-the-scenes elements such as administration, music editing, script writing, costume organisation, collection, rehearsal time and more. Introducing this small fee allows us to continue offering a high-quality, well-organised show experience for our dancers and their families — something we’re really proud of.
Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support in making our performances truly special.
Additional Rehearsals
There will be an extra rehearsal for all of our dancers prior to the performance to plot the first act and the second act before we perform on stage. This will take place at Oakham C of E on Sunday 30th November.
We will rehearse the first half of the show from 10am to 1pm and the second half of the show from 1.30 to 4.30pm. Groups are needed as follows:-
ACT ONE – 10am to 1pm
ACT TWO – 1.30pm to 4.30pm
Act 1 Groups:
Shooting Stars • Mini Mondays (Rec–Y2 Street) • Year 1/2 Street • Junior MT (7–11) • Primary Contemporary Juniors (7–9) • Boys Crew • Year 5 Street • Advanced Street (16+) • ACRO Troupe • Year 4 Street • Primary Contemporary Seniors (9–11)
Act 2 Groups:
All Stars • Dad’s Dance Crew • Senior MT (12+) • Adults Contemporary • Secondary Contemporary • Year 6 Street • Year 7/8 Street • Year 9–11 Street • Year 3 Street • Uppingham Crew • Small Stars • Adults Street
PLEASE NOTE – If dancers are in both halves of the show they will need to attend both rehearsal. In this scenario dancers are welcome to stay in between these rehearsals. Please bring a packed lunch and a drink to see them/you through!
Show Day
Our whole cast will be involved in BOTH PERFORMANCES on Sunday 7th December.
Performers need to arrive at the venue 45 minutes prior to each performance taking place. Dancers under 16 will be met by a designated RYDA chaperone on Broad street outside Barclays bank at 12.45pm and 5.15pm and enter the Theatre via the stage door.
The stage door is around the back of the building but it’s a really tight alleyway and not safe or practical to have lots of people moving through that area. Therefore, after each show, students will be released to a parent or guardian back at the same meeting point on Broad Street.
Tickets
You will be able to get your tickets very soon from the box office at Stamford Corn Exchange by going to www.stamfordcornexchange.co.uk/whats-on or calling 01780 766544. Please do invite friends and family to come and support all of our incredible performers!
It’s going to be a fabulous show!
Costumes
This year, we’re excited to be hiring all costumes for our production to help bring our circus theme to life in the most magical way possible.
To cover this, a costume hire fee equivalent to one week’s class has been added to your term fees. By hiring, we’re able to provide high-quality, glitzy, professional costumes that perfectly match our vision — without parents needing to source outfits themselves.
Hiring is also a more sustainable choice, allowing us to reuse costumes, reduce waste, and keep the process simple for everyone. We’re confident this will make our show even more spectacular for dancers and families alike. ✨
When purchasing the show fee below, you will have to opportunity to send us you or your child’s dress size – this is an essential part of the process that should be completed before our costume deadline of Friday 15th November.
